The Return of the 6 Nations!

26

Oct

Well at last, we are close to the end of the longest 6 nations tournament in history. It should all end this weekend Covid permitting. It has never been more closely contested with 8 people in with a chance of walking away with £50. There is also a small sum for the runner up. Leading the field is former club chairman and founder member Mick Smalley who has called 11 of the 12 matches already played correctly. There is a chasing pack of Carol Evans, Lewis Hopkins, Caz, Sam and Geoff Gunter, Al Warner and Neil Gault. If Wales, England and Ireland win on Saturday then Smalls wins. If one or two of them lose then it will in all probability go to the tie breaker of the total tries scored. It just couldn't be closer!

The 3 games are being shown at the clubhouse this Saturday. However, due to the current climate, you can't arrive without booking. You'll need to contact our vice-chairmans (Matt Evans & Neil Parfitt) to book yourself in (and others). We're asking for a £10 payment upfront, then this will be reserved for you behind the bar. It's the new world we live in!
