Guinness 6 Nations Challenge 2020 Announcement!

Jan

Just over 2 weeks until it all kicks off and I can report that entries are starting to come in.

Perhaps you want to wait and see who the coaches pick for their squads. France have selected theirs and a lot of the "old stagers" have been left out. They certainly have some great young players but it looks to me as if they are planning for the next world cup which is of course in France. A new coaching set up may also take time to settle in; how will they get on with the honorary Welshman Shaun Edwards taking over the defensive role. Their first match is at home (Sunday 2nd Feb) against England and it may well be the same as last year with Wales, win away in Paris and the Grand Slam is yours! Well, the only other away game England have is the Jocks in Edinburgh. Prospects for the other teams is very much up in the air, expect Italy to lose them all; a new coaching set up in Wales and numerous high profile long term injuries do not fill me with my usual degree of optimism. Ireland, very disappointing at the World Cup will not be easy to beat, and Scotland, who knows, capable of brilliant Rugby and horrendous errors, bit like watching Ash!!!!!!!!

Anyway, enough from me at the moment but you can enter by down loading a form from the web site or picking one up at the club or from me John Evans. Some of the junior / mini team organisers may have them. I intend to go and watch our boys up at Whitstable this Saturday and the following week be at the Rec. when we play Folkestone. Get your entries in, you know it makes sense.
