The third year of Preston Summerfest has come and gone, and for the second year running, Ash RFC were right at the heart of the action. Taking up their position behind the bars and helping keep festival-goers refreshed throughout the weekend.
Once again, the festival proved to be a fantastic opportunity for Ash RFC to get out into the community, meet new people and enjoy a weekend packed with great music, great atmosphere and plenty of fun.
From the moment the gates opened, our members were kept busy serving the crowds, pulling pints and making sure everyone had a great experience. The atmosphere across the festival site was brilliant, and the support and interaction from customers throughout the weekend made it even more enjoyable for everyone involved.
This year's festival certainly wasn't short on colour either. Our bright pink, custom-made festival tops from VX3 ensured the Ash RFC team were easy to spot, while the glitter beards and face decorations supplied by The Glambulance added another level of colour and personality to the weekend.
It wasn't all hard work behind the bar, though.
With an impressive line-up of acts taking to the stage, including Scouting for Girls, there was plenty for our team to enjoy whenever they managed to grab a moment away from the taps. As always, our members found plenty of opportunities for a bit of fun and banter along the way.

The photos capture just some of the moments from what was another memorable weekend for Ash RFC. From our members pulling pints throughout the weekend to Tommy Gale Four Drinks and, of course, a whole load of beer kegs, there is certainly plenty of evidence of just how busy the Ash team were.
Behind all the fun and festivities, however, the weekend represented something that is incredibly important to Ash RFC: being part of and supporting our local community.
Events such as Preston Summerfest give our club the chance to bring our members together outside of rugby, meet people from across the local area and play our part in making community events a success. It is something we are incredibly proud to be involved with.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who visited the bar over the weekend, to the organisers and volunteers who helped make the festival happen, and to everyone who made the atmosphere so enjoyable for our team.
After another hugely successful Preston Summerfest, it is safe to say we're already looking forward to next year.
Until then, we'll be back where we belong — on the rugby pitch, behind the bar and out in our community.
