Seniors Flying High
The season has kicked off in fine style for Ash RFC’s 1st XV. Building on the momentum of pre-season, the boys in green and white put in another big shift to secure a 24–14 victory over Weavering Warriors I. This followed earlier emphatic wins including 48–0 at Cranbrook II and 33–7 at home to Sittingbourne II, showing that confidence and consistency are running through the side.
Training sessions remain well attended and full of energy, with coaches pushing the message that there’s always more to do. “Four wins from four is brilliant, but we can’t take our foot off the pedal,” one post reminded players. The determination is clear: keep raising standards and keep the run going.
Saxons Return to Action
One of the most exciting developments this month has been the long-awaited return of the Ash Saxons (Veterans). They made their comeback in the Spitfire Veterans Gold Cup, taking on a strong Aylesford Bulls side.
The Saxons eventually went down 52–24, but the match report told the real story: for a full 60 minutes the Ash old boys stood toe-to-toe with the Bulls, matching their power and spirit before the game slipped away late on.
More than just a result, the Saxons’ return is a reminder of the depth of rugby at Ash. The vets bring experience, camaraderie and that old competitive edge, and their presence strengthens the club from top to bottom.
Minis & Juniors
The youth section continues to thrive, with fixtures already taking our minis and juniors across Kent. From Deal & Betteshanger to local derbies, our younger age groups are learning fast, playing hard, and living the values that make rugby so special.
Parents and players are reminded that new members are always welcome — whether completely new to rugby or looking for a local club to call home.
Club Spirit & Values
At every level, Ash RFC lives by TREDS: Teamwork
Respect
Enjoyment
Discipline
Sportsmanship
These values guide us on the pitch, at training, and in the clubhouse — helping us remain a proud community club with ambition and heart.
