Ash RFC Summer Ball 2023

The ball is Done!

On Saturday 1st July 2023, Ash RFC gathered at Betteshanger Country Park in their 25th Anniversary (+3 years!) Summer Ball. After multiple postponements due to COVID-19 and Queen Elizabeth II's passing, we finally had our ball.

During the evening, and after a delicious 2 course meal, we gathered to commemorate Ash RFC in the past 28 years the club has existing. Led by Russ Timpson, an original founder, he recalled various years from the club including the good times and tough times, but celebrated what we are now. We all remembered members who are no longer with us, and raised a glass to those gentlemen. Russ handed over to Smalls and Ralphy, where they recalled past times and present times, with memorable memories from seasons, and when they all met!

Smalls and Ralphy, with Matt Evans presented 3 members life memberships. This is due to their given service to the club, and commitment to the club. Memberships were given to:

The evening was young at this point, where Neil Parfitt gave a speech on the new season of the club, and what to look forward too. Once this was done, we had many drinks afterwards and celebrated this club that we love, Ash Rugby Club.
